Analysis of the Trade Impact of the VPA for Indonesia In cooperation with the Directorate General of Forest Products Management of the Ministry of Forestry (BPK), the EC-Indonesia FLEGT Support Project has contracted a study on the expected impact of the VPA. This study is an important step in the VPA process as it provides elements of replies to many questions raised by forestry stakeholders in Indonesia since the VPA consultation phase.
Work Program of the Coordinating, Monitoring, and Evaluation Team (Kormonev Team) for Eradication of Illegal Logging has been prepared After 3 marathon meetings ( 20-21 November 2007, 19 December 2007 and 31 January -1 February 2008), the Kormonev Team, with its secretariat within the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam), has moved ahead with Preparing the Work Plan, determining the Priorities of Working Areas, Communication Mechanism, Organizational Structure and the need for supporting resources.
Seminar on Governance at Village Level in Jambi According to the prevailing regulation and legislation, the definition of a village is a unit of community with terrestrial boundaries that has the authority to control and manage itself for the purpose of local public interest, based on local origins and customs that recognized and respected by the Government administration system of the Republic of Indonesia (Law No. 32/2004 concerning Local Government and Government Regulation No. 72/2005 concerning Villages).
